The global IoT user organization MindSphere World continues to grow. Established at the beginning of 2019, MindSphere World ASEAN-Pacific chapter, headquartered in Singapore, is the first IoT association in this region. The user organization has 15 founding members. A user community with 13 members, affiliated to MindSphere World e.V. in Germany, has also been established in Belgium. The global MindSphere World community offers members a forum for sharing knowledge and best practices across all disciplines relating to the Internet of Things (IoT). There are plans to establish further associations over the coming months in Korea, Japan, Taiwan, China and the USA.
MindSphere World in ASEAN-Pacific brings together representatives from the public sector, industry and education. “Southeast Asia’s digital economy is expected to reach a volume of 2,000 billion US dollars by 2025. This is a massive market for all players in the manufacturing and process industries where the IoT is playing a key part in the digital transformation,” said Narsingh Chaudhary, President of MindSphere World in ASEAN-Pacific and Vice President Strategy & Business Excellence at Siemens Pte Ltd on the launch of the association. “That’s why ASEAN-Pacific is the next region after Europe to establish a MindSphere World user organization,” added Ulf Könekamp, President of MindSphere World Germany.
