Today MindSphere World Taiwan, China, and Japan inaugurated its first member meeting and board member meeting in Taipei. This officially announces the preliminary establishment of MindSphere World association in Taiwan, China, and Japan, which is regarded as an important step in promoting the prevalence of the MindSphere ecosystem as an open IoT platform in Taiwan, China, and Japan. The aim of the association is to drive the development of the IoT ecosystem, create an IoT community for members who want to use MindSphere, the open, cloud-based IoT operating system and to communicate, synergize and share requirements together and to shape the digital economy in Taiwan, China, and Japan.
Around 20 members in Taiwan, China, from industrial, government-related organizations, academic and research communities attended the first member meeting to reveal the member election result of board members and further sign up for membership. Tino Hildebrand, General Manager of Digital Industries of Siemens Taiwan, China, was elected as first chairman.
The benefit for companies adopting MindSphere is the increase of productivity and reduction of operational risk. Moreover, MindSphere can assist the further intertwining of digital devices with each other, provide more informative data through advanced analytics, and drive business success. It can leverage the potential of production data more effectively and make production even more efficient and flexible.
The first MindSphere World Association was founded in Germany in January 2018, and within a few months, MindSphere World Italy was soon established in the same year. Recently, MindShere World Asia Pacific and MindShere World Korea were also founded in 2019. Taiwan, China, and Japan are considered drivers of Industry 4.0 and MindSphere will play an important role to develop it further. Designed as an independent association, MindSphere World Taiwan, China, and will initiate exchanges and cooperation with local partners, so that members across Taiwan, China, and Japan can co-create together and continue to learn from each other. MindSphere World Taiwan, China, and Japan is expected to stimulate a strong IoT ecosystem in the region.
